PureGym (Denmark)

Heat Wave Yoga is becoming more and more popular – also in the well-known PureGym fitness studios in Denmark. The advantage of working with infrared heat in these classes, is obvious – if the body is already warmed from the outside with infrared heat, it does not have to do it itself. The positive effect of Heat Wave Yoga occurs more quickly, muscles and and joints are warm and you start to burn fat immediately.

Heating high rooms with large volumes is always a challenge. That‘s why they relied on high-performance panels for PureGym, with extra strong performance and a high surface temperature, which ensure a fast and high heat output.

Thanks to the installation on the ceiling, the space is optimally utilized and the heat distribution is particularly efficient. Here, 23 LAVA® MAXIMUS 1500 W units have been installed in the training room to provide fast and reliable heat, controlled with pinpoint accuracy using the ETHERMA eTOUCH PRO control unit.

A major advantage of infrared heat is that the training room does not have to be heated to a high temperature permanently, but only when a class is actually taking place, because infrared heat does not heat the ambient air, but the bodies of the yoga students directly. And that within a few minutes.

Wellnes Benefits of Infrared Heating

With three fitness and wellness studios across Glasgow, The Holistic Warehouse was looking for a heating solution that could support its popular hot Pilates, yoga and sculpt classes while delivering a comfortable and consistent experience for clients.

Having previously used alternative heating systems and experiencing various issues, the team decided to replace them with infrared heaters. Following the success of the initial installation, infrared heaters were used across all three studios.

The infrared heaters form an integral part of the studio’s offering, creating a warm, welcoming environment that clients love and regularly return to for sessions.

Infrared heaters were installed throughout all three studio locations and are regularly used for infrared pilates, hot yoga and heated sculpt classes. The Herschel Power heaters are available in 3 sizes ranging from 3.2kW to 6.4kW, and come in a black or silver finish. The Holistic Warehouse decided to go with the sleek black finish to fit the aesthetic of their studios.

The studio benefits from simple and effective control, with heaters programmed remotely to switch on before classes and off afterwards. The system provides reliable, consistent warmth and can typically bring the studio spaces up to temperatures of 45°C within around an hour.

Since introducing infrared heating, the studio has seen strong demand for its heated classes. Hot pilates and hot yoga sessions regularly become fully booked, with clients frequently returning for the experience and recommending the classes to others.

Health Benefits of Infrared

Infrared heating offers a unique form of warmth that directly heats people and surfaces rather than warming the surrounding air.

For fitness and wellness environments, this can help create a more comfortable and immersive heated workout experience. Exercising in a warm infrared environment can encourage increased perspiration and elevate heart rate during training, supporting a more intensive workout.
